We also want to share that this is your time; so don’t feel you have to do everything every single day. If you want to take a morning to sleep in, or an afternoon to nap, you do that!

GETTING TO 42 ACRES (the Blush Love Blooms retreat space)

DRIVING DIRECTIONS: SAT NAV BA11 5HL will take you to Holt Farm (which is about 1 mile past 42 acres), so start looking for 42 Acres about 1 mile before the destination on sat nav if coming from the A303. If you hit Black Arabian Stud stables on your left, you’ve gone too far. If coming through the town of Witham Friary, 42 Acres will be on your right 1 mile after Holt Farm. 42 Acres (our destination) has a sign and a green/black bin, and next to a red cottage called Holt Cottage (not holt farm)

FOOD & DRINK

You will be served with three delicious organic meals per day with snacks in the afternoon. You can choose a vegetarian or vegan menu. On Sunday we will be offering meat / fish option should you wish.

Only you know what you need to keep you feeling sustained, so please feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks. Please let us know in advance if you have any food allergies / intolerances, so that we can let the retreat space know.

We like to enjoy a glass of wine with dinner, so if you would like to join us, then please either feel free to bring a couple of bottles, or you can choose to put into a kitty towards wine we will be bringing with us.

We will ask you to help us with clearing and washing up after each dinner, at the request of the retreat owners.

MASSAGE

You will be offered the option of a deeply relaxing massage during free time on Sunday and Monday by Rachel Carr-Hill. Costs are: 1 hour £45.00, 1.5 hours £65.00 (please bring cash).

About Rachel

‘I have 20 years experience in massage, having trained with the London School of Aromatherapy and then at the MovingOn Centre in California.

My massage touch is deeply relaxing. I have developed a way of being where I am listening to the body and guiding through breath into deeper states of relaxation. I can hold the space for people to go more fully into their feeling experience, letting go of stuck emotions and old patterns in their body that no longer serve, to come more fully into alignment with their natural aliveness and bliss.’

Massages can be booked when at the retreat space.

HOUSE RULES (From the retreat space owners at 42 Acres)

First and foremost we hope you have a wonderful experience at 42 Acres and that you feel free to enjoy the space fully. These ‘rules’ for want of a better word are borne out of our experience and we hope they may also be helpful in the smooth running of your retreat. We ask that you may care for the house and land as if it is your own so that it may flourish and continue to be enjoyed by many.

Please attempt to leave everything as you found it. If you move furniture around please return it to its original place.

Please keep indoor furniture indoors, and outdoor furniture outdoors.

Please return books to where you found them.

Please keep all food and drinks other than water in the Kitchen & Dining areas.

Please keep blankets and cushions (including meditation cushions & yoga mats) inside.

Please try to be energy conscious and keep windows closed when the heating is turned on/ switch lights off whenever you leave a room.

We have provided small torches for your use around the property. Please remember to put them back when you leave, so that other people can enjoy using them too. Do let us know if any batteries need replacing.

There is a designated smoking area outside the double doors in the Reception. Please ensure all cigarette butts are disposed of in the large ceramic pot provided. (Next to the wooden carved ‘Smoking God’).

In case of an emergency, the Fire Assembly Point is underneath the two oak trees, directly outside the double doors in the Reception.

Please do not use candles or incense in the bedrooms. Candles are only permitted to be used in the kitchen and group room. All candles must be used with holders. We have provided tea lights with holders for your stay. You will find them next to the fireplace in the Group Room.

Please extinguish all candles after use. Especially at night and on Check Out.

Please switch off the hot water urn in the kitchen when you go to bed and on check out.

Please let us know about all breakages and damages (no matter how insignificant it may seem), so that we can fix, clean or replace it.

Please let Mark or your practitioner know ASAP if something is not working OR if there are any breakages / damages.

Please strip the beds and put the linen & towels in a pile next to the bed on leaving.

Please close windows and turn out lights in your bedrooms on leaving.

Thank You.
